Surrounded by water on two sides of this peninsula that is Calvert County,
water is important in the Calvert County real estate market. The Chesapeake Bay on the east
side offers lovely beach oriented areas in the north part of the county. The Patuxent River

exceptions, on larger than average lots compared with lot sizes in Anne Arundel or Charles

county average sold price of $403,000. The Chesapeake Ranch Estates is
located in Lusby, approximately 45 miles to the Washington Beltway.
Route 4 all the way is the transportation through Calvert County from the
Prince George's County border all the way south to the Thomas Johnson Bridge across the
Patuxent River to St. Mary's County. Route 4 is a direct route to Washington, D.C. Many
