The Eisenhower National Historic Site offers a window to visit a small part of the life of this revered American, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States.
Local residents have the pleasure of visiting this historic site and remember one of our most popular Presidential families. Dating to the 1950s, the The Eisenhower Farm House contains original furnishings and an insight into the Eisenhower life.
During President's two terms as president, he use the farm as a place to retreat from the Washington scene and it served as the "temporary White House". Leaders from around the world visited the farm and Eisenhower out of reach of the Washington press crowd as much as possible.
The Eisenhowers retired to the farm where President Eisenhower raised prize-winning Angus cattle and enjoyed his retirement.
