ANNOUNCEMENT: We use the 2-10 Home Warranty Company home Warranty. The cost to Homefinders.com is $400 and worth every penny. You can sleep and night following settlement knowing that the systems in your newly purchased home are under warranty.

SLEEP WELL. If the heat or air conditioning fails to work, you will have an 800# to call to arrange for a service company to inspect and make repairs.

This Home Warranty has saved our buyer clients many $Thousands of home repairs and has given our buyers and agents security that, for the first year of home ownership, you should have minimum repairs. Maintaining a home is complicated and expensive. We want to get you started with peace of mind.

YES, you WILL have a home warranty when you buy a resale home in Maryland or Virginia from a Homefinders.com agent or referral agents. If possible we will try to get the seller to pay for it. If they refuse, WE pay for it. The cost? About $400.

IS A HOME INSPECTION REQUIRED??
No, but the home buyers must have tested at a pre-settlement walk-through inspection and found all systems to be in working order at the time of settlement. The Home Warranty is not a substitute for a home inspection.

WHEN DOES THE HOME INSPECTION BEGIN??
24 Hours following receipt of the application and payment. Homefinders.com makes the application and payment as soon as the settlement documents are received. Coverage, if received within a few days of settlement, will begin as of the date of settlement.

HOW DOES THE HOME OWNER MAKE A CLAIM FOR REPAIRS
Use the 800 on the application. Do not call any repair person. The Home Warranty company will send vendors that are in their system of repair companies. The service technician will collect a $100 deductible and make the repairs under the home warranty.
